Guidelines for external creators

These guidelines set out the standards for external creators to handle character designs, Live2D models, and other copyrighted works (hereinafter referred to as "Shop Creations") created by YamaokaSunoSHOP (hereinafter referred to as "this Shop") for custom production.

These guidelines apply to all products created by this shop, including copyright transfer.

When external creators carry out work based on materials created by this shop, they are required to agree to these guidelines.

1. Use of products created by this shop

External creators can only accept orders for illustrations using character designs created by this shop within the following scope.

  • Illustration production that does not involve altering existing designs (SNS icons, standing images, illustrations with backgrounds, bust-up illustrations, full-body illustrations, etc.)
  • Illustrations for print that do not require design changes (exhibition visuals, posters, flyers, etc.)

*The above use is premised on respecting the original design created by "this shop or creators affiliated with this shop."

2. Cases where prior confirmation with our shop is required

Please be sure to contact our shop in advance and obtain approval for the following matters before placing your order.

  1. Costume change (including color change only)
  2. Changing hairstyle, body shape, and other appearances
  3. Modifications that affect the impression of the character, such as adding accessories and decorations
  4. Content that is difficult to judge consistency with existing designs
  5. Content that may be related to the original setting

*When contacting us, please briefly include your name and request details.
* Any unauthorized modifications are prohibited.

Depending on the content of your request, permission from the rights holder may be required, which may incur additional fees. If we begin production before these confirmations and settlement are completed, there is a risk of infringement of rights. Therefore, it is important to confirm that the client holds the rights.

3. Absolutely Prohibited Activities

The following actions are strictly prohibited as they infringe rights and damage reputation . Violations may result in claims for damages against the creator in charge. Please be careful.

① Converting any of our products into Live2D or 3D without permission

Based on the character design created by our shop,

  • Live2D Models
  • 3D models, etc.
  • Other VRM models etc.

It is prohibited to create 3D data such as the above without permission .

② Reusing designs from custom-made or purchased Live2D models

Based on the Live2D model created by our shop or our affiliated creators,

  • parts
  • shape
  • color
  • Existing structure
  • Your identity

It is prohibited to create new Live2D/3D models without permission by using the above. These will not be judged based on any single item, but will be judged comprehensively.

③ Treating the works of this shop as a "new design" by another artist

Concealing or altering the origin of the original author is also prohibited, as described below.

  • Change the name and treat it as a different character
  • Color changes and minor changes are treated as new characters
  • Posting or selling works with the original author's name erased or falsely stated

This constitutes substantial plagiarism and is a serious violation of our guidelines.

Even if we receive an inquiry that falls under items 1 to 3, unless the customer has officially acquired the copyright from our shop or has clear permission, we will not be able to accept the order as it would be in violation of our guidelines. In such cases, please be sure to inform the customer that "we cannot accept the order because we cannot confirm permission."

4. Disclosure of achievements (portfolio, social media, etc.)

When an external creator publishes a work as their own achievement, the size of the text does not matter, but they must clearly state the name of the original author (this shop or a creator affiliated with this shop) .

Example:

  • "Character design: YamaokaSunoSHOP/○○ (please include the name if known)"
  • "Character design: YamaokaSunoSHOP-creator"
  • "design: YamaokaSunoSHOP-creator"

*These are some examples. Any information that provides the above information is acceptable.

However, as an exception, this does not include FAs and other services that do not incur a fee.
* Skeb will also be excluded due to the nature of the service.

5. Guidance for customers

It is prohibited for external creators to independently decide whether or not to permit or provide guidance on design modifications.
If you receive a question from a customer, please inform them that "confirmation of the original author is required."

*Please strictly follow these instructions to prevent any problems caused by incorrect information.
*If you proceed with the discussion based on incorrect judgment, you may end up infringing on rights.

6. Other Prohibited Items and Cautions

  • Creating a "fake official design" using our shop's products
  • Expressions that may lead people to mistakenly believe that you are a creator affiliated with this shop
  • Use of wording that could be misconstrued as "supervised by the original author"
  • Displaying our shop's creations on commission sites etc. without permission
  • Re-transferring or lending character designs that you do not own to a third party
  • Unauthorized use of trademarks and logos of products created by this shop

7. What to do if you are unsure of your decision

If you have a request that cannot be determined within the guidelines or if you have an ambiguous request, please be sure to contact our shop.
